Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote form requests gender, date of birth, tobacco use history, health level, coverage amount and term length—six items that take about a minute. Those are sufficient for carriers to return rates. Your name, address or health records are only gathered if you choose to move to an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are what each carrier quotes for the health tier you picked. After underwriting, the carrier may confirm that tier, lower it, or raise it; the final premium then changes accordingly. These quotes are for information only and are not a guarantee, offer, or promise of a specific price.
What happens when I click Apply?
The application continues on the carriers' secure platform, prefilled with the answers you gave here. You advance through the carrier's questions, review the terms and coverage, and sign electronically. You can pause and return later. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the application on your behalf.
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies by carrier, coverage amount and your responses. Many carriers now offer quick decisions for eligible applicants without an exam; each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is expected, possible, or not needed for that particular product.
Is a longer term better?
A term length matches the duration of your financial obligation. If a mortgage will be paid off in 20 years, a 20-year term covers that obligation and then ends. A 30-year term costs more monthly but locks the rate longer. This site lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years at once so you can choose what fits your situation.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool doesn't collect your name, phone or email. We don't sell or share your data. Our first-party counter honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests, but the site also includes a cookieless page-view beacon from our content delivery provider that disregards those signals. Check the privacy page for the full accounting.
